Spring is Here and Now is the Time to List

February 6, 2011 By Nancy Greger Leave a Comment

Spring
New England Spring

Spring is here and the snow has melted. After this year, I’m sure everyone in the Greater Danbury Area is glad that meltdown has happened. Showing property over the last month or two has been a challenge, but I’m looking forward to a great Spring.

If you are thinking about listing your house, now is the time to begin that process. Spring is the best time to list a house and the peak selling months are April and May. There are a number of things you can do to get your house ready. Begin by reading the “10 Must-Do’s to Sell Your House Quicker!” for ideas on what needs to get done.

If you are contemplating selling, but you’re not sure, then start with a home valuation and market analysis from your local realtor. You should consider a company that offers extensive marketing, advertising, relocation services, and full real estate services like those available through me at Coldwell Banker.

Our Advantages:

  • Personalized 10 Point Marketing Plan
  • Strong National & International Ties
  • Total Exposure for Your Home
  • Communication the Way You Deserve It

A1 Septic Services Inc.

February 6, 2011 By Nancy Greger Leave a Comment

For septic services in the greater Danbury area, I highly recommend A1. I’ve personally used them for years and they even replaced our tank when we first moved in. Very courteous and professional.

(Check out the most common septic problems from drainsandplumbing.com)

Clogs, smells, leaks and pipe breakage are among the more common drain problems: septic problems include dangerous sewer gas, bad smells and problems with lines and tanks. If a septic tank is well built and relatively new, the main problems that will arise will most likely be ones that can be prevented. An overloaded septic tank can make a big mess, as the extra water in the tank leaches out into the drain field until the ground is saturated with wastewater. A properly running drain field sends the normal amount of water soaking into the soil from some inches below the surface where the pipes have been buried.

When the field is planned, the builder should take into consideration things like soil composition, trees and ground water levels that may interfere with the field’s freedom of movement. Furthermore, before a septic system is constructed, county regulations require the soil have a “perc” test…(Click here for more)

The guys at Hantsch are very professional and know what they are doing. They have re-wired much of my house, wired our pool and recently added new lights to our bar and dining room. If you need electrical work, I recommend Hantsch Electric.

My First Home

November 8, 2010 By Nancy Greger Leave a Comment

Nancy was my realtor for my apartment a year ago and was so helpful that I asked her to help me in finding my first home this past April.  I’m all moved in now and I am pleased with my decision to buy.  Nancy is very honest and knowledgeable in her opinions and really made sure that I knew what I was getting into by becoming a homeowner. Nancy made it such a great experience and I would do it all over again but I love my place so much I’ll never move!

Thanks again for everything 🙂
-Kristi

Nancy and Matt - Many thanks for all you did to make this emotionally difficult process as painless as possible. Personally I would just like to say how deeply I appreciate both your professionalism and your thoughtfulness. Mostly though, I’m glad that you consider the sale to have been a success, and that you had a chance to share in the stories of the wonderful times our family spent at that lovely spot on the lake.

This was a very successful effort from our point of view and we want to let you and Nancy know how much we thoroughly appreciate your professionalism, attention to detail and efficiency. Your turnkey approach made things so much more manageable for us. We don’t know how we would have done this without you! You were also both a real pleasure to deal with.
